The New Home of The Great Catsby Facebook Page

Hey there, I want to welcome you personally to my brand-new Facebook page. Whether you’re a long-time customer or discovering The Great Catsby for the first time, I’m so glad you’re here!

As many of you know, The Great Catsby has been my labour of love since 2017. From the first guest to the many feline friends who’ve made my cattery their home away from home, creating a space prioritising the happiness and well-being of every cat in my care has been a joy. And my old Facebook page detailed my journey from building The Great Catsby from scratch to welcoming hundreds of cats over the years.

Why The Great Catsby Has A New Facebook Page

If you had seen my email last month, you might remember that my Facebook account was hacked and I lost access immediately. Not only did I lose my photos, memories, and friendships since 2007, but I also lost access to my business page, The Great Catsby, which I had built over the last seven and a half years. The page had over 1200 followers and more than 50 5-star reviews dating back to when I first opened in 2017. Despite my best efforts, I was unable to regain access. So, I had to make the difficult decision to start over.

Losing that page was devastating; I lost followers, reviews and the journey of The Great Catsby from 2017 to 2024. It had hundreds of lovely comments and photos of gorgeous cats, many of who are now sadly running free over the Rainbow Bridge. It represented years of building a community with a shared love of our furry companions.

Although I've now set up a new personal account, the last month has been a challenge, especially as I've had to wait over three weeks just to create a new page! But I see it as an opportunity—a fresh start to create an even better space.

The Great Catsby isn’t your ordinary boarding cattery. It's a purpose-built, luxury, 5-star retreat for cats. From the cat-centred stimulating rooms to the personal care each guest receives, I’m passionate about creating an environment that’s as stress-free as possible.

Over on my new Facebook page, you can expect:

• Cat Care Tips: I'll share my top tips for preparing for a stay, keeping your cats healthy, and more.

While Facebook is a fantastic way to showcase The Great Catsby, however, I’ve learned that I have no control over my own social media accounts. Although I lost my Facebook account, I still had my website and email list, which meant I could keep in contact with those who had used my services.
