5 Ways To Keep Cats Healthy

Did you know that February is National Cat Health Month?🐱


In order to keep your feline friend happy and healthy, here are five simple things we can do:


1️⃣ Feed a healthy, balanced diet. As cats age or become less active, their nutritional needs change, making sure their diet supports their lifestyle.

2️⃣ Keep their brain active. Mental health is just as important as physical health for cats, providing enriching activities to keep them stimulated.

3️⃣ Encourage movement. For indoor or older cats, it’s easy for them to become less active, but you can encourage movement by playing with them or, if playing isn’t their thing, then hide treats around the house for them to move to.

4️⃣ Have regular check ups with the vet; this will give them a chance to have a once over to make sure their teeth, eyes and body are all in good health. And keep up to date with your cat’s annual vaccinations.

5️⃣ Keep an eye on behaviour changes. By understanding your cat's behaviours, you’ll be able to notice slight changes and get advice.
